Steve Zalusky  Steve has a Master of Science degree in biology from the California State University at Northridge and a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from the University of California Santa Barbara.  As principal biologist of Northwest Biosurvey, Steve has prepared and/or supervised the preparation of hundreds of botanical and wildlife surveys, wetland delineations, mitigation plans, initial site assessments, and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) reviews since forming the company.
                            Prior to starting Northwest Biosurvey in 1997, Steve spent 13 years as the Environmental Officer for Lake County.  The position included primary staff responsibility for CEQA review of environmentally sensitive applications, biological survey and mitigation development for county-initiated projects, processing of all geothermal, mining, and water impoundment and diversion projects, and review of timber harvest plans as the county representative on the state Timber Harvest Plan Review Committee.  Steve also spent four years as a Senior Planner managing environmental review with the City of Chico until phasing out of that position to dedicate full time to Northwest Biosurvey in early 2003.
                           
                         Danielle Zalusky   Danielle is a Land Use Planner with an emphasis in rural planning and resource development issues.  Danielle has completed all course work in the Rural and Town Planning Graduate Program at the California State University at Chico.  She has a bachelors degree from San Jose State University.
                            Danielle has served in professional planning positions since 1987, beginning in the Town of Paradise, California to her most recent position as Senior Planner in charge of the advance planning and resource management sections of the Lake County Community Development Department.  Danielle left county employment in 2002 to devote her full-time efforts to Northwest Biosurvey. Danielle's work has included the writing and review of area plans, general plan and zoning ordinance updates, and supervision of major development applications including vineyards, mining projects, geothermal development, residential developments and commercial projects, in addition to managing staff. Danielle's work with Northwest Biosurvey includes assistance with field biology, project management, and preparation of biological assessment reports, plans, ordinances, code updates, and permitting and CEQA/NEPA reviews for local agencies.
 
     
                         Leigh Zalusky   
Leigh has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from the University of California, Davis. While currently owning and operating his own engineering firm, ZZ Engineering, he also serves as company engineer for Coast Range Wetlands both managing and assisting in the design and development of the Seigler Valley Wetland Mitigation Bank.  He has developed extensive skills in plant taxonomy and ecology both in his role in Coast Range  Wetlands and while assisting our sister company, Northwest Biosurvey, staff in field surveys and vegetation mapping over the past six years
